*First Point Announces Results of 24.3 g/t Gold over 1.8 meters at the Noria Target on the Corralitos Property, Mexico*

First Point Minerals Corp. ("First Point") is pleased to announce results from recent underground channel sampling at the Noria Target at the Corralitos Property, Mexico which returned 24.3 grams/tonne (g/t) gold over 1.8 meters estimated true width.

The Noria Target is the western most known mineralization within the large Corralitos property and consists of 3 mineralized structures. Structures A and C consist of strong silicification and zones of iron oxide mineralization whereas Structure B contains both calcite and quartz fillings. All three structures are hosted in limestone. Where noted, the widths reported in the table below are estimated true widths.

An historic vertical shaft and tunnel driven by local miners in the early 1900's had been excavated on the silicified zone on the west margin of Structure C. Four new channel samples from Structure C were taken in the underground workings over 26 meters of strike length with results as shown in the table below. Channel sampling about one meter below the lip of the vertical shaft returned 24.8 g/t gold over 1.8 meters across the silicified zone which spans the total width of the shaft. A further three channel samples were taken 8 meters below the lip of the shaft in an adit driven along the structure, one of which carried 7.0 g/t gold over 3.8 meters the full width of the adit. Dump material around this historic opening has returned values from 10.3 to 13.9 g/t gold from grab samples taken by First Point.

The Noria targets are iron-oxide, silica-altered zones and exhibit "Carlin" type characteristics. Limestone has been intensely silicified, iron oxide stained and correlates with strong multi-element geochemical anomalies including arsenic, antimony and mercury. These targets range up to 200 meters in strike length and up to 9.2 meters wide. An induced polarized geophysical survey is anticipated being carried out to explore for southwest extensions of the zones, which are covered by overburden, and for deeper extensions of the targets prior to drill testing in the next 6 months.

The Candelaria target area at Corralitos is located 3 kilometers east of the Noria target area. Candelaria veins range from 100 to 1,200 meters in strike length and 12 of the 15 veins are marked by old workings (shafts, adits and stopes). Results of rock channel samples from the Candelaria veins' underground workings are expected shortly.

First Point has commenced this season's field work on its nickel properties. This work will focus on the 3 most promising targets, the Joe Nickel property in the USA and the Shulaps and Decar properties, both in B.C.

First Point holds the Corralitos Property under option from Teck Cominco Limited's Mexican subsidiary, Minera Teck Cominco, S.A. de C.V. "MTC". The Corralitos Property exploration work was supervised by Ron Britten, P.Eng. All samples were submitted to International Plasma Labs Ltd. (IPL) preparation lab in Hermosillo, Mexico and ICP-MS analytical work was completed at IPL Richmond, BC.
