TULE COPPER-GOLD (Cu-Au) PROPERTY, HONDURAS
Introduction
Intrusion hosted gold and porphyry copper-gold (Cu-Au) mineralization at the Tule Property could be bulk mineable targets. The mineralization on the Property is a recent discovery by First Minerals and has never been explored or drilled.
It is located 100 kilometers northeast of Tegucigalpa in Central Honduras. The road access is excellent and area of the property is 20,000 hectares.
Ownership
Mineral title is pending and will be 100% owned by First Point Minerals de Honduras S.A., a subsidiary of First Point Minerals Corp when granted.
Geology
Platform Mesozoic massive limestones and sediments are intruded by diorite and granodiorite intrusions of Tertiary age. Significant gold and copper values are associated with pervasive sericite, chlorite, iron oxide alteration and quartz veins and are hosted in the intrusions.
Main Target
Oxidized mineralized float samples ranging between 0.27 to 59.0 grams per tonne ("g/t") Au were collected in a 1,400 by 720 meter area on the west half margin of the soil grid (see figures below) and contained elevated bismuth values. A large Au and Cu soil anomaly on the eastern end of the soil grid measures 1500 by 600 meters and is open on all sides except to the west. The two significant mineralized and anomalous areas correlate with intrusion hosted gold mineralization in the western margin of the grid and porphyry Cu-Au mineralization in the eastern end of the grid.
Additional grid controlled soil sampling is warranted on all open sides of the Cu-Au anomaly, induced polarization geophysical survey over the entire grid, detailed alteration mapping to be followed by trenching prior to a drill program.
Previous Exploration
On the Tule Property there are one historic adit and several pits; there has never been any drilling or systematic exploration on the property.
Target Type
At the Tule Property gold intrusion hosted target is similar to intrusion hosted gold Deposit at Fort Knox, Alaska that contains about 4.5 million ounces of gold. Higher copper-gold mineralization in the eastern portion of the grid at Tule resembles the Grasberg copper-gold porphyry deposit geological setting in Indonesia. Both have intermediate composition intrusions associated with gold-copper mineralization and are spatially associated with the massive limestones which in the case of Grasberg formed a chemical barrier to cap one of the largest porphyry copper-gold deposits in the world.
